Replacing Missing Teeth
Missing teeth can and should be replaced to restore function and stability to your bite. Depending on the circumstances, implants, bridges, bonded bridges and partial dentures can be used for replacement. There are pros and cons to each. A thorough evaluation and discussion of these options can help find the right solution for you.
Implants
We work in a team approach with Salem’s best periodontists and oral surgeons to provide the most up-to-date treatment. The surgical team places the implant and our office provides the restoration over the implant after the adequate healing period. Implants allow replacement of single or multiple missing teeth. Dr Howard is experienced in planning and treating a range of simple and complex cases to restore optimal function.
Root Canals
Endodontics or root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp dies inside a tooth. This usually happens due to trauma or deep cavities that weren’t treated in time. A root canal is sometimes the only way to save a severely broken down tooth.
Orthodontics
Dr. Howard uses numerous techniques for straightening teeth. There are some cases that the “invisible braces” work best and others that will need metal or clear brackets and wires, removable appliances or perhaps a combination of procedures. A comprehensive examination will provide Dr. Howard with the best treatment for your specific needs.
Dr Howard is certified in “Invisalign” and “ClearCorrect” invisible braces. Dr Howard has associations with many of Salem’s orthodontic specialists and in some cases a referral may be needed to one of these offices.
Insurance Billing
We accept most insurances and will bill your insurance for you by electronic claim. Our office will do our best to help you receive the best benefits.
